Nicole joined our team as a senior Property and Commercial Lawyer in late 2022, and boy, are we glad she did! With more than two decades of experience, she's a pro at commercial property. Clients rave about her dedication and expertise, and we're not surprised!
In an exciting update, we're delighted to announce that as of 1 January 2024, Nicole has been promoted to the position of Director.
Curious about what brought Nicole to Hewlett Legal and eager to learn more about her, we had a chat where we uncovered her ninja skills and all things pink. So, we asked her, "What gets you excited beyond the office?" We can't wait to share what we learned with you!
What attracted you to Hewlett Legal?
What drew me to Hewlett Legal was their culture that centers around a more human approach to conducting business and work, and I'm all for it!
What has been the biggest challenge of your career to date, and how did you overcome it?
One of the biggest challenges I've faced throughout my career is convincing others that remote work can be just as effective as working in the office. It wasn't always easy, especially given the attitudes of certain generations. However, I persisted and continued to prove that it could be done - and of course, the COVID-19 pandemic definitely helped to shift the mindset of many.
The subsequent challenge stemming from this experience involves continually creating and adopting efficiencies in an industry that is still adjusting to remote working practices. This is particularly crucial to me at Hewlett Legal, where we are dedicated to ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, promptly, and seamlessly, regardless of a staff member's location. I look forward to continuing to learn with our clients and referrers, not only about their needs but also how they navigate and overcome similar challenges within their respective industries, helping us adapt and excel in our business.

Since becoming a mum, I have a heightened hatred of whinging (but what parent wouldn’t say that?) My Pet Peeve is when people don’t put things away.
What are you reading?
Nothing at the moment. I’m in between books and looking for inspiration. Feel free to send me recommendations!
Who inspires you?
My mum is smart, strong, yet kind. Definitely qualities I aspire to.
On a day off, what do you do?
Family time – usually kids’ soccer! Otherwise, read or binge watch some show set centuries ago.
